What Do You Expect?
Posted: January 11, 2011The headlines say it all. Breathitt County No 3 Poorest County in US. Not something you want to be known for. There’s a Grace Brethren Church in the county seat, Jackson, that’s trying to change all that. And they’re doing a great job! But it’s hard. Pastor Mike says, Well, we were hoping to make progress in this area but for various reasons including transportation, education, technology, and corruption, the area is struggling. We know the people are talented and capable and this has been proven time and again by Bible quizzing, Drama teams, music, Kids Teaching Kids, etc…Pray that the children will grow up with the desire to improve these reports.
grace in ACTION usa began to help the youth in Breathitt County learn another way, climb out of the poverty cycle that has trapped them for five generations and eventually, bring real change in Breathitt County!
